Sources in the security establishment have revealed that a gunfight broke out in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian between security forces and four terrorists. The encounter began in Kulgam and shifted to Shopian's forested area following intelligence inputs. Police have confirmed that three terrorists have been killed in Shopian encounter. The clash comes in the aftermath of India's Operation Sindoor, a counterstrike against terror infrastructure in Pakistan after the deadly Pahalgam attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned that any future terror attack will now be treated as an act of war, promising strong retaliatory action. In another development, Two Indian students, Saurav Prabhakar and Manav Patel, have died in a car crash in Pennsylvania. The Cleveland State University students were killed when their vehicle struck a tree and a bridge on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
