Haryana CM Nayab Saini Calls For Peace As Water Sharing Row Intensifies

The water sharing row continues to boil over this summer after Punjab, Haryana held an all-party meeting on the water issue. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini appealed to the people of both states to maintain peace and said that in in the all-party meeting, a resolution was passed. The The Punjab government should implement the decision taken by the Bhakra Beas Management Board to release Haryana's share of water. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had said that no additional water would be given to Haryana, calling the BBMB meeting on water unconstitutional.
