The motorcycle is wearing full camouflage and has a pillion on-board along with the rider. What is also noticeable is the top box, which is likely carrying testing equipment. The exhaust is mounted low and the test mule is also seen having saddlebags. The twin header pipes confirm the model, which is the F 450 GS. The motorcycle will have a 450 cc parallel-twin engine, which is said to make 48 hp and well, the concept weighed in at just 175 kg.
The production model will be heavier, but not by a significant margin. BMW is likely to offer features like adjustable suspension, electronic rider aids, disc brakes at either end, Bluetooth/smartphone connectivity, a fully digital TFT console and full LED lighting.
The BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured at TVS Motor's plant in Hosur. What is also interesting that BMW Motorrad India has currently stopped the sales of the G 310 GS, which means that the F 450 GS will be the entry point in BMW's adventure motorcycle range and will likely be priced between Rs. 4.5 to Rs. 5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the F 450 GS will go up against KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the Honda NX500.
